Neverending Socialising
When your weekends are so full - they fly by and before you know it - its Monday again.
Sigh.....
I've had the inlaws up for the last week so it has been a bit full on working all day, then cooking and entertaining of an evening - especially when I usually slip into my daggie jammies & comfy slippers and then sit down and veg...
So.......
On Friday night they took us out for dinner to one of our favourite Restaurants on the coast called Mikes Kitchen Ribs & Steakhouse and it was a lovely evening - especially for the girls. Chelsea as usual gets stuck into the ribs while Jordi opts out for calamari rings and chips. Mal had a humungous open grill and I chose the Ladies Fillet with vegetables - talk about mouth watering food then to top it off the girls had icecream, Mal had chocolate mousse and I indulged in some Sticky Date Pudding with icecream - talk about having to roll us home.
Saturday......
House cleaning - nah! I spent most of the week keeping it up to date so all that was required was some tidying up (mostly the girls rooms - larf larf) I took mum some morning tea as she had not been well and we spent the morning chatting as we usually do. With only enough time to polish down some lunch and get an update with all the Saturday football, I headed into town to catch up with some girlfriends at a little cafe called Bumbles at Budds Beach. As the cafe was full we had to sit outside and it was one of the coldest, windiest day the Coast has had for a while. However the Hot Chocolate and Mars Bar Cheesecake warmed me up immensly.
Saturday night.....
Had to get the girls ready for their Netball Presentation so after braiding their hair, limited makeup and lots of sparkles later we headed out to see them get presented with their trophies. As they are not graded and it is just a fun competition they all got a trophy for participation. After their nuggets, chips, chocies and lollies they headed out to the dance floor to do the Macarena and the Nutbush plus many more songs that sounded alien to me however not so to the 150 girls dancing and screaming...larf larf...I'm feeling my age
Sunday....
Sleep in (woohooo) as the girls were having their final Netball Carnival for the season and being presented with yet another trophy we skipped church and headed on down to the netball grounds. Earlier I had sent Mal a lovely email saying I was still curled up in bed - he had been down at the church early to help set up and as usual assemble his drum kit - he was jealous! However at netball I got stuck with a bitter woman who is squeezing every penny out of her exhusband for child maintenance and I had to sit there for an hour listening to the bitterness and the hatred that came spewing out of her mouth - as Mal said later it was God paying me back for not going to church...larf larf! I did miss church and I heard it was a great morning - doh!!!! I would rather have been at church than watch endless games of netball but thank the Lord its over for another season and I now have my Saturdays back.
Sunday arvo....
Got home just in time to pick up my mum to take her to a Bodyshop Party we only went because the lady who invited us is such a nice lady and the girl who was doing the party was a good frined of hers and was starting out in the business - we didn't want to let her down. We had our hands soaked and massaged with lavender products - not a good idea when you eat a biscuit and you have to lick your fingers - lavender doesn't taste too good...I won't tell you what I had for afternoon tea...I will leave that to your imagination.
Dear me...
What a weekend of eating and socialising - one I don't want to happen too often due to the amount of kilos that are being added each day.

I am so glad you keep so busy, or we would be seing more of you hmmm,
But it is encouraging to know that you can share your faith with others while becoming overweight, all that food you will have to excersise more.
That will mean another night out and more food to give you strength.
lol.

Hi Jeannie,
It seems you've been awful busy, in a good way. No wonder we haven't hear to much from you. I also had company for a couple weeks, a great friend and brother in the Lord. Nice to hear things are well.
Be Blessed,
Bryan
